More Music
Earlier this year I traveled to Canada to see one of our featured artists and got more than I bargained for. The most incredible acoustical guitar player I ever heard opened for Mark Masri that day and I have been loving his album ever since. His music is worth another 600 mile drive. hmmmm? Wonder when he's playing next...

Rumor has it that he's working on a new album and I can't wait! I went to a free concert a couple of years ago and Matt was one of the performers. He blew me away. He is fantastic live, his lyrics are great and he teased me from the stage when I had to leave early.

Our very own Mark Masri introduced me to Greg's music and I am ever so thankful. He plays the keys (which you all know I adore) he writes incredible lyrics and he has a fantastic sense of humor (check out his Glee style video on YouTube)

What you might not know....
A artist rarely talks about money but we all know that if their music doesn't sell or concert tickets don't get bought they might not continue making the music we all love.
Ways you can help:
1. If your artist sells their albums on their site buy them direct. Usually that means more money goes into the artist's pocket.
2. If they don't sell their CD's direct see if a place like CD Baby sells them. CD Baby doesn't take as large a % as Itunes or Amazon AND they have fantastic customer service.
3. Don't pirate the music. If you love them, support them. It will pay off in the long run with more albums and hopefully a concert near you!

Ideas to Help Promote Your Favorite Artists....
We all have artists that we adore, but when we gush over them to friends and family, they give us a blank stare and ask "Who?" Having been the victim of that stare more times than I care to mention, I've set out on a mission to educate the world about the best artists they've never heard of. Here are a few tips that you can use to help YOUR favorite artists.
Things you can do without leaving home:
~ Post on websites that mention your favorite artists
~ Vote in all polls, contests and award shows they are eligible for
~ Post links on Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, etc.
~ Post reviews of their records on Itunes, Amazon, Best Buy, etc.
~ Request your favorite song from your local radio station
~ Create a fansite
~ Recommend them as the musical guest on your favorite talk show
Whatever you do, your sincerity and passion will attract like-minded fans. Soon you will have a whole community who feels the way you do. Sometimes you have to create a place where you belong rather than trying to fit in ... Good luck in promoting your chosen artists. No matter what you do, I am sure they appreciate all your support!
